Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of AZWOOL mineral rock wool production plant

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the AZWOOL mineral rock wool production plant of "Matanat-A" company in the Garadagh district of Baku.

As reported by AZERTAG, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Matanat-A" company Elkhan Bashirov informed the head of state about the plant's operations.

First, President Ilham Aliyev was provided with information about "Matanat-A" company, founded in 2000. The company, which has been operating in the construction materials production sector for 25 years, includes plants producing dry construction mixtures "Matanat-A", gypsum board and gypsum-based products AĞDAĞ, lime production, equipment and machines AZERLİME, and the ELBERG engineering plant. In total, about 1,000 jobs have been created at the company's enterprises.

The AZWOOL mineral wool production plant is located on a 10-hectare area. The enterprise is equipped with modern equipment produced in the USA, Germany, and Turkey. The annual production capacity of the plant is 1.5 million cubic meters of mineral rock wool. Products are manufactured primarily from local raw materials.

The investment value of the mineral rock wool production plant is 43 million manats. The Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Azerbaijan under the Ministry of Economy allocated a preferential loan of 10 million manats for the project implementation. Additionally, based on the investment promotion document, the enterprise received benefits worth about 4 million manats when importing machinery, technological equipment, and installations. The plant created 180 jobs.

Environmentally friendly mineral rock wool used in the construction sector not only provides thermal and sound insulation but also allows for energy savings. Mineral rock wool is one of the local products with competitive advantages. It is in high demand in both domestic and foreign markets. The opening of the plant will contribute to the development of local production, meeting domestic market needs, and increasing the competitiveness of Azerbaijani products in the foreign market. The enterprise will meet our country's needs for mineral rock wool, significantly reducing dependence on imports. Products manufactured here will also be exported to Georgia, CIS countries, and the Middle East.

President Ilham Aliyev also familiarized himself with products manufactured at "Matanat-A" company enterprises. It was reported that the company's plants produce over 3,000 types of products under more than 200 trademarks. In addition to satisfying domestic demand, the products are exported to Kazakhstan, Georgia, Iraq, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and other foreign countries under the Made in Azerbaijan brand.

It should be noted that thanks to the work carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev on diversification and development of the non-oil sector, new production facilities are being created in our country. All this also makes a great contribution to opening new jobs and increasing employment.
