Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia in the energy sector has reached a new level.

As BAKU.WS reports, this was stated in the congratulatory message from the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud on the occasion of the national holiday of this country - the Kingdom Proclamation Day.

"I highly appreciate the activities of your brotherly country's leading company ACWA Power in the field of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan, in particular, the construction of the Khizi-Absheron wind power plant, which will become the largest wind power plant in the Caucasus region. This project plays an important role in the diversification of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia. At the same time, the current level of our mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of OPEC+ deserves approval," the head of state noted.
