Ilham Aliyev: Negotiations with Armenia yielded positive results as they were conducted exclusively on a bilateral basis

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev shared his thoughts on peace negotiations with Armenia during his speech at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
As reported by AZERTAG, the head of state said that Azerbaijan put forward five fundamental principles based on international law and presented a draft peace treaty.
"Then, at our initiative, a negotiation process on the draft text began, which continued from October 2022 to the summer of 2025. Despite various provocations, the negotiations yielded positive results as they were conducted exclusively on a bilateral basis without any external interference," the President emphasized.
