On September 22, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in New York with the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Neuberger Berman, George Walker.

As reported by AZERTAG, the meeting included an exchange of views on the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Neuberger Berman.

Emphasizing that our country attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with international financial institutions and influential investment companies, President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence in the further successful continuation of the partnership with Neuberger Berman.

During the conversation, it was noted that the fruitful partnership of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan with this company since 2016 has contributed to the development of our country's financial sector and the expansion of its international investment opportunities.

After providing information about the global financial and investment activities of the company he leads, George Walker expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Azerbaijan. Emphasizing the importance of the economic processes taking place in the region for the company, he said that currently they are evaluating the available opportunities for expanding partnership within the framework of new projects.
