Global processes are moving in a direction where each country must first and foremost strengthen its military potential and security.

As reported by AZERTAC, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.

Recalling his proposal at the Organization of Turkic States summit in Gabala to hold joint military exercises of member countries in Azerbaijan, the head of state said: "I believe this is also necessary. We conduct military exercises with member countries in a bilateral format. Of course, more with Turkey, but also with other countries. However, conducting joint military exercises can have great symbolic significance, and at the same time, there is also a practical necessity for this."

President Ilham Aliyev noted that in the modern world, there is no longer what is called international law. "Let everyone forget about it. There is power, there is cooperation, there is alliance, there is mutual support," he added.
