On September 15, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited a mulberry garden established on an area of 13 hectares in the village of Dashbulag in Khojaly district.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the head of state was informed about the work done.

It was reported that 130,000 seedlings imported from the People's Republic of China have been planted here. A drip irrigation system has been created in the mulberry garden.

It was noted that in 2026, the production of 100 tons of mulberry leaves is planned, and in 2030 - 500 tons. Cocoon production is projected to reach 60 tons over 5 years, starting from next year. In October-November of this year, it is planned to implement a drip irrigation system on another 150 hectares of land and plant about 1.5 million mulberry seedlings, establish a mulberry garden based on a cluster model, build greenhouses around it, carry out the process of growing silkworms, producing raw cocoons and processing products. 25 people have been provided with permanent jobs here. 750 people will be involved in seasonal work.
