Ilham Aliyev: Every time our flag was raised in any village or city, for me that land was precisely Azerbaijan

During the Patriotic War, the land for me was embodied in every liberated village; the place of death of each shahid was land for me. The feelings I experienced while receiving daily information about losses cannot be expressed in words.

As reported by AZERTAG, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.

Noting that the repeated changes in the directions of operations were related to potential high casualties - to prevent these losses, and the end of the war on November 10 was also due to this, the head of state said: "Each time our flag was raised in any village or city, for me that land was Azerbaijan."

Emphasizing the importance of being ready at any moment to protect one's land, President Ilham Aliyev noted: "We must be strong and ready at any moment to protect our land, and I am confident that after this, not an inch of our land will ever again be under anyone's foot. For this, we have the strength, the will, and the unity of the people. There is a strong Azerbaijani state."
