A hydroelectric power station is planned to be built in the Ordubad district.

As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.

Recalling that a State Program for the development of Nakhchivan as a whole was recently adopted and an action plan for irrigation was drawn up, the head of state said:

"I sent a large delegation here, all issues were analyzed and work has begun."
