Ilham Aliyev congratulated the President of Gambia

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of The Gambia Adama Barrow on the occasion of the national holiday - the Independence Day of the state.

As Azertag reports, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate you and your people on the occasion of the national holiday – the Independence Day of the Republic of The Gambia.

We attach great importance to the development of relations built on a solid foundation between Azerbaijan and The Gambia. I would like to particularly note the effective cooperation of our countries within the framework of the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement and other international institutions and platforms.

I believe that we will continue to successfully pursue joint efforts on the path of strengthening our friendly ties, expanding cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally.

Taking advantage of this pleasant opportunity, I also extend sincere congratulations on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing you good health, happiness, success in your endeavors, and to the friendly people of The Gambia – lasting well-being and prosperity."
