Ilham Aliyev approved amendments to the Tax Code and 16 laws adopted by the Milli Majlis

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev approved changes to the Tax Code and 16 laws adopted by the Milli Mejlis on December 9.

This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

This refers to amendments to the Tax Code and laws "On the status of a deputy of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan", "On social insurance", "On state compulsory personal insurance of military personnel", "On compulsory state personal insurance of employees of judicial and law enforcement agencies", "On medical insurance" and others.

The main directions of the package of amendments are stimulating the investment environment and entrepreneurial activity, reducing the tax burden on business entities, regulating tax revenues and budget income, improving the tax control mechanism and combating the shadow economy.

Changes to the Law "On Social Insurance" include optimizing the social insurance burden on entrepreneurs and subsidizing mandatory state social insurance contributions paid in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
