Ilham Aliyev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Bulbul's house-museum in Shusha

On July 17, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Bulbul House-Museum in Shusha.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Member of Parliament Polad Bulbuloglu informed the distinguished guest that the outstanding musician was born and spent his childhood in this house. By the order of national leader Heydar Aliyev, in 1982, the Executive Committee of the Shusha City Council of People's Deputies decided to turn the house where Bulbul was born and lived into a house-museum. In the building, renovated in 1982-1983, a museum exhibition was created, and an administrative building was constructed in front of it. During the First Karabakh War in 1992, the house-museum was subjected to Armenian vandalism and ceased its activities. After the liberation of Shusha city, the restoration of Bulbul's house-museum began, as with our other historical and cultural monuments. The museum reopened in August 2021.
A new bust of Bulbul has been installed in the courtyard of the house-museum. The bust of Bulbul, which was desecrated during the occupation of Shusha, has also been preserved as evidence of the vandalism of the Armenian occupiers.
