Heydar Aliyev, who opened the doors for stability and economic development in his country, dedicated his life to his people, taking on the role of Azerbaijan's savior.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in a video report prepared by Haber Global in connection with the 22nd anniversary of the death of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev.

"The Azerbaijani people deeply respect the memory of the great leader and feel pride in the fulfillment of his testament about victory in Karabakh.

Heydar Aliyev directed the country's wealth in the right direction, skillfully using the oil weapon in his hands. Heydar Aliyev signed the "Contract of the Century" with the world's largest oil companies. Thus, he managed to attract foreign investors to Azerbaijan, whose economy was in decline. Heydar Aliyev directed a large part of the oil revenues to the army, often visited frontline areas himself and solved problems directly on the spot. Of course, the strategy was long-term. All this was someday supposed to contribute to the return of Karabakh to its true owner - Azerbaijan. But his life ended. Heydar Aliyev died on December 12, 2003, at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States at the age of 80. He left behind a rapidly developing state and a young politician who was to complete his unfinished business and continue the strategy he created.

Heydar Aliyev had a testament - Karabakh, especially Shusha, must be liberated from occupation. Ilham Aliyev continued his father's path, preparing for victory for years. Karabakh was liberated from occupation 17 years after Heydar Aliyev's death," the material states.
