Haber Global: Baku to host one of the key UN events

One of the authoritative events of the United Nations - the World Urban Forum - will be held in Baku this year.

The Turkish television channel Haber Global prepared a video report on this topic.

According to the report, the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will take place on May 17-22, 2026. It is noted that the forum will discuss challenges caused by rapid urbanization, as well as consider real and practical ways to address them.

It is emphasized that the main goal of the event is to form a common understanding of the significance of cities and urbanization processes, as well as their impact. Currently, more than half of the world's population lives in cities, which is accompanied by such problems as rapid urbanization growth, housing shortages, an increase in the number of informal settlements, and growing pressure on infrastructure.
