Foreign Ministry: For signing a peace agreement, Armenia must change the constitution and fulfill obligations under TRIPP
Signing the initialed peace agreement is possible only on condition of changing the constitution of Armenia and full implementation of obligations under the TRIPP project.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, presenting the report on the results of 2025.
He noted that as part of confidence-building measures, meetings between civil society representatives were held in both countries.
"In November, a meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides on border delimitation took place in the city of Gabala. Prior to this, in January and February, such meetings were held in an online format. Permission was also granted for the transit of Kazakh grain to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan. However, for the conclusion of a final peace agreement, the conditions we have outlined must be met," emphasized the minister.
Bayramov added that this year, the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia has become an important step towards establishing sustainable peace in the region. According to him, the Washington summit made a significant contribution to this process.
