Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Great Britain discussed the Israeli-Iranian conflict

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the regional situation amid the Israeli-Iranian confrontation during a telephone conversation with his British counterpart David Lammy.
As Oxu.Az reports with reference to the foreign policy department of Azerbaijan, the parties also exchanged views on bilateral cooperation issues and discussed the prospects for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The British minister conveyed congratulations on the occasion of the National Salvation Day and expressed gratitude for the congratulations on the national holiday of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - the King's Birthday. He also noted that the British side highly appreciates the letter of condolences sent by President Ilham Aliyev regarding the death of British citizens in the Air India passenger plane crash near the Indian city of Ahmedabad. In turn, J. Bayramov thanked for the congratulations and expressed condolences.
Additionally, the parties expressed serious concern about the security situation in the region resulting from the Israeli-Iranian confrontation, and emphasized the importance of continuing contacts and negotiations through diplomatic channels to prevent further escalation of the situation.
The ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
