Fayziyev: WUF13 will allow Uzbekistan to showcase large-scale reforms over the past 9 years
Azerbaijan has created a favorable platform for exchanging experience and discussing global reforms in the field of urbanization.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated to Report by Orifjon Fayziev, First Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Urbanization and Housing Market of Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of WUF13 in Baku.
He noted that holding WUF13 in Azerbaijan provides Uzbekistan with an opportunity to present the large-scale reforms implemented in the country over the past nine years.
"First of all, I would like to thank brotherly Azerbaijan for the excellent organization of WUF13. This is a great opportunity for Uzbekistan to present the global reforms that have been carried out over the past nine years," he noted.
According to him, the urbanization process is actively developing in Uzbekistan, and a new national committee on urbanization and housing construction was recently established.
"This committee has been entrusted with very significant tasks to ensure that the urbanization level reaches 60% by 2040," he emphasized.
He added that the forum provides an opportunity to study the experience of Azerbaijan and other countries to achieve the set goals and further develop urban policy.
