Farzaneh Sadegh thanked Azerbaijan for the high level of organization of WUF13
Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh thanked Azerbaijan for organizing the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated in Sadegh's address to participants of the ministerial roundtable within the framework of WUF13, which was read out by her deputy Gholamreza Kazemian.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan for the high level of organization of WUF13," the address noted.
The Iranian minister also listed four areas in which Iran has achieved significant progress in sustainable urban development: "These are the expansion of urban infrastructure and reduction of multidimensional poverty; community-driven urban regeneration programs in underserved neighborhoods; risk management in response to climate change and strengthening resilience mechanisms; promotion of renewable energy and smart city initiatives in cooperation with international partners."
It was noted that today the recovery of war-affected territories in Iran is a top priority.
