Euronews will attract more Azerbaijani journalists to work in the Baku office
Euronews intends to expand the participation of Azerbaijani journalists in the work of the Baku office.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, this was stated by the Chairman of the Board of Euronews Pedro Vargas David to journalists at the opening ceremony of the Euronews office in Baku.
According to him, the editorial office in Baku will consist of 15 employees, half of the staff has already been hired.
"We will continue to attract journalists from abroad, however, our long-term goal is to gradually expand the participation of local personnel. We want to see more Azerbaijani journalists both in this office and in the Euronews structure as a whole," he noted.
Vargas David emphasized that the company is already implementing a similar model in other countries of the region - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Qatar, where local journalists are actively integrated into the international network of the media holding.
