Erdogan: Azerbaijani quarter in Kahramanmaras - an example of unity between Turkey and Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani quarter in Kahramanmaraş is another example of bringing to life the saying "One nation, two states," an indicator of the inseparability of our peoples' destinies. Today, we are once again demonstrating to the world the inviolability of solidarity and unity between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking on June 19 at the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijani quarter in the city of Kahramanmaraş.

On behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, the head of the Turkish state sincerely greeted the ten million residents of Azerbaijan.

The President recalled that Azerbaijan was among the first to come to Turkey's aid in the face of the devastating February 2023 earthquakes.

"We will never forget the solidarity and support of the Azerbaijani people. I would like to express special gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva for extending a helping hand to the Turkish people," said President Erdoğan, calling the Azerbaijani quarter of Kahramanmaraş a source of pride in the recovering disaster zone.

The Turkish leader also thanked the State Housing Construction Agency of Azerbaijan (MİDA) and the State Housing Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) for implementing the new residential complex project in Kahramanmaraş.
