Elnur Mamedov discussed the repeal of Section 907 with US Congress representatives

Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov received a delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress House of Representatives.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

It is noted that during the meeting, they discussed the current regional situation, the significance of agreements reached during the Washington summit, the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and steps being taken to conclude a peace agreement, the draft Charter of Strategic Partnership between the US and Azerbaijan which is in its final stage, as well as other issues of mutual interest on the bilateral agenda.

There was also an exchange of views on initiatives introduced in Congress regarding Azerbaijan, and the importance of lifting the 907th Amendment to the "Freedom Support Act" with respect to Azerbaijan was emphasized.
