# Diplomatic Marathon in Munich: Haber Global on Ilham Aliyev's Participation in Security Conference
Turkish television channel Haber Global dedicated another segment to the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the Munich Security Conference - one of the most authoritative global platforms, often called the "military Davos." The report provided a detailed analysis of Baku's strategy on the international stage.
The television channel emphasized that on the very first day of the forum, the Azerbaijani leader demonstrated an incredibly tight schedule, holding a series of meetings aimed at strengthening both regional and European ties.
"The diplomatic start was made with a meeting with the head of the regional government of Iraqi Kurdistan, Nechirvan Barzani. The parties conducted an in-depth exchange of views on expanding ties in the economic, trade, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. Special attention was paid to issues of mutual interest.
Following this, the President held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Slovakia Robert Kaliňák. The meeting with a representative of a NATO and EU member country was of strategic nature: it was noted that there is broad potential for deepening cooperation," the television channel noted in its review.
Haber Global also paid special attention to Ilham Aliyev's exclusive communication with Azerbaijani journalists on the sidelines of the conference.
The peace negotiation process with Armenia expectedly became the focus of the agenda.
"Necessary amendments must be made to Armenia's Constitution. As soon as these amendments are adopted, we will be able to sign a peace treaty literally the next day. However, despite legal formalities, I believe that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan has de facto already been secured. The agreements reached at the Washington summit and the signed joint declaration are essentially equivalent to initialing a peace treaty. The official formalization of this process now depends solely on Yerevan. The sooner the Constitution is amended and territorial claims to Azerbaijan disappear from it, the sooner legal peace will come," the television channel quoted key statements from the Azerbaijani leader.
