This is not Europe's war; we did not start it. We have the Aspides mission in the Red Sea. When it came to a possible expansion of the operation's mandate to the Strait of Hormuz, including the waters north of the Muscat line, EU member states did not show readiness to support such a decision. No one wants to actively participate in this war. Because everyone is concerned about what the outcome will be.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Baku TV, this was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

This refers to the EUNAVFOR Aspides operation of the European Union Naval Forces, aimed at protecting international shipping in the Red Sea from Houthi attacks. Similar missions were also conducted in the Black Sea — to ensure the security of the "grain corridor" amid attacks by the Russian army on Ukrainian ports and vessels. That is, Europe has relevant experience in this regard.

However, now the EU and some European countries do not want to apply this experience in the Strait of Hormuz. The question arises: why? Are they not allies of the United States?
