As part of the "Chronicle of Western Azerbaijan" project, a program "Etruscan writings of the 8th century BC were written in the Turkic language" was prepared with a presentation by Doctor of Philosophy in Art History Elchin Alibeyli.

In the program, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Abbas Seidov spoke about the Vikings.

He stated that the Vikings are descendants of proto-Turks who came from the territory of Azerbaijan: "The ancestors of Norwegians are proto-Turks from Azerbaijan. Proto-Turks spread to the northernmost countries of Europe."

According to him, Etruscan writings of the 8th century BC were written in the Turkic language, and all tribes that European scientists say "origin unknown" are actually Turks.

The historian reported that among the images of Gobustan and Gemigaya, about 400 ancient words have been deciphered: "Ancient prayer books in the churches of Western Azerbaijan were written in the Kipchak language. Prayers of Christian monuments in Western Azerbaijan were written in Kipchak. Armenians, without knowing it themselves, pray in church in the Turkic language."

A. Seidov emphasized that images of the saz (Turkic musical instrument) of ancient Turks are found from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic.

Recall that the purpose of the "Chronicle of Western Azerbaijan" project is to preserve and popularize the name of our ancient historical lands, as well as to inform the world community about the deportation of Azerbaijanis by Armenians, to identify toponyms that existed in these territories but were erased from the map, countless underground and above-ground examples of material culture - ancient settlements, necropolises, mounds, remains of fortresses, palaces and fortifications, caravanserais, bridges, tombstone chests, statues of horses and rams, temples, churches, mosques, sanctuaries, and to provide facts confirming that this territory was a pure Oghuz-Turkic settlement.

The project is also based on the words of President Ilham Aliyev about Western Azerbaijan: "The map of the early 20th century once again shows that Western Azerbaijan is a historical Azerbaijani region, the names of cities and villages have Azerbaijani origins, and we know well that throughout history, the Azerbaijani people lived on the territory of present-day Armenia. Now the main task is to make the world community also know about this." The project is also aimed at promoting the tasks arising from the Return Concept prepared by the Western Azerbaijan Community.

In addition, the project highlights the thoughts of historians and researchers about Western Azerbaijan, as well as the life stories of people who were subjected to deportation.
