Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski discussed the security situation in the Middle East and the South Caucasus.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, the foreign ministers held a telephone conversation today.

During the conversation, Minister Sikorski condemned the drone attack carried out in early March from Iran on the territory of Azerbaijan and stated that such violations of international law are unacceptable.

"The ministers also discussed the security situation in the Middle East and the South Caucasus, as well as considered possible political and economic consequences of the ongoing conflict," the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.

According to information released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the Polish minister expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for the support provided in evacuating diplomats and citizens of the country from Iran.

During the telephone conversation, it was also noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Poland have broad potential in the political, economic, renewable energy, humanitarian, and other fields, and the importance of mutual visits and intensification of political dialogue for the development of ties was emphasized.
