Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed requests from over 25 countries for the evacuation of citizens from Iran

Over 25 countries have sent requests from Iran to organize the evacuation of their citizens through the territory of Azerbaijan.

This was reported by the head of the press service of our country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aykhan Hajizade, in response to an inquiry from APA.

As a reminder, evacuation operations are being carried out through the "Astara" border checkpoint. In the period from February 28 at 08:00 to March 3 at 10:00, a total of 615 people were transferred from the Islamic Republic to the territory of Azerbaijan.
