Azerbaijan's current state of relations with the United States and Israel discussed
On February 9, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, which is visiting our country.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the foreign ministry, during the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of Azerbaijani-American and Azerbaijani-Israeli relations, issues of cooperation with Jewish organizations operating in the USA, as well as the regional situation were discussed.
The meeting participants were informed about the latest developments in our region, in particular, as a result of the Washington Summit on August 8, the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, regional connections and efforts to implement the TRIPP route, as well as measures taken in the post-conflict period.
The parties emphasized the atmosphere of interreligious harmony, traditions of tolerance and multiculturalism existing in our country. It was noted with satisfaction that in Azerbaijan, where the majority of the population professes Islam, along with Muslims, representatives of Christian, Jewish and other religions live in conditions of mutual understanding, good neighborliness and peace. It was stated that the presence of the Jewish community, which has lived peacefully and calmly in our country for many centuries, gives additional strength to the development of strong partnership ties between Azerbaijan and Israel.
At the meeting, an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest also took place.
