Azerbaijan cancels visa requirements for citizens of certain countries
In order to simplify travel for citizens and strengthen interstate relations, from February 15, 2026 to February 15, 2027, visa requirements are being waived for holders of ordinary passports - citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, and the Kingdom of Bahrain - when entering the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the press service of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan.
During the period when the new rules are in effect, citizens of the aforementioned countries will be able to enter Azerbaijan three times without a visa and stay in the country for up to 30 days with each entry. However, if they plan to travel for purposes other than tourism or intend to stay in the country for an extended period, they must obtain the appropriate visa in advance in accordance with the procedure established by law.
Additionally, citizens of third countries who hold a temporary or permanent residence permit valid for at least six months, issued by the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, or the State of Qatar, will be able to obtain a single-entry tourist visa for 30 days at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan during the specified period.
As a reminder, foreigners temporarily staying in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days are required to register at their place of stay in accordance with the requirements of the Migration Code. Also, if there are grounds provided for by law, they may apply to the State Migration Service before the expiration of their stay to extend it or obtain a temporary residence permit - either in person through the "migration services" window at ASAN xidmət centers or electronically through the "Electronic Services" section on the service's official website.
Detailed information can be obtained from the State Migration Service call center at (012) 919, on its official social media pages, or by contacting the Public Relations Department via email: [email protected].
