Azerbaijan and the United States discussed the implementation of the Charter on Strategic Partnership and the outcomes of the Baku Economic Dialogue.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the negotiations took place as part of a visit by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov to the United States.
Elnur Mammadov met with the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Andrew Stoe.
The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of Azerbaijani-American relations, emphasizing the importance of further expanding the partnership between the two countries across a wide range of areas.
Special attention was given to the implementation of the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the governments of Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as the outcomes of the Baku Economic Dialogue.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation and consultations on matters aimed at strengthening peace, security, and prosperity.
