Azerbaijan and the United States are discussing the possibility of signing a framework agreement

Azerbaijan and the USA held preliminary negotiations on the possibility of signing a framework agreement.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was announced by the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at a special government meeting dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev's visit to the USA.

According to him, favorable conditions for signing the document emerged after President Ilham Aliyev's historic visit to Washington.

The minister emphasized that the parties have already held preliminary negotiations, during which Azerbaijan's contribution to the energy security of the region and the world was particularly noted.

"Special attention was paid to Azerbaijan's rich energy resources and renewable energy potential," Jabbarov added.
