Azerbaijan and Syria to Discuss Sustainable Urban Development at WUF13 in Baku

Issues of expanding the exchange of experience and implementing best global practices in the field of sustainable urban development will be the central topic of negotiations between Azerbaijan and Syria within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

This was stated on the official page of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Syria on the social network "X".

It was noted that during the meeting of the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Azerbaijan in Syria, Elnur Shahguseinov, with the Minister of Public Works and Housing of Syria, Mustafa Abdul Razak, issues of bilateral cooperation in the areas of housing construction and reconstruction, as well as challenges related to this sector, were discussed.

"Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold negotiations during the upcoming visit of the Syrian delegation to Azerbaijan to participate in WUF13. The aim will be to expand the exchange of experience and implement best international practices," the statement said.

It was noted that the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of Syria seeks to expand international cooperation in the field of housing and reconstruction of the country, which should contribute to sustainable development and improvement of infrastructure.
