Azerbaijan and Jordan discussed the situation in the Middle East

On April 18, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman al-Safadi on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

This was reported to BAKU.WS by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan, as well as the situation in the Middle East region, were discussed.

The importance of intensifying efforts to further develop friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan, as well as to expand cooperation both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations, was emphasized.

It was noted that the mutual support based on friendship and solidarity that the countries provide to each other within multilateral platforms such as the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, CICA, and others deserves high appreciation.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed in detail the current security situation in the Middle East. The parties stated that the resolution of the crisis is possible exclusively through political and diplomatic means, and expressed hope for a successful outcome of dialogue and negotiations.

The meeting also featured an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
