Azerbaijan and Iran discussed the role of joint projects in the development of transport corridors

Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Vahid Jalalzadeh, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the meeting, the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as regional issues were discussed.

The parties emphasized the importance of contacts between the leaders of the countries, as well as the existing political dialogue and inter-parliamentary ties in the development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.

The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of politics, economy, trade, energy security, transport, and communications. It was noted that a number of projects implemented by Azerbaijan and Iran play an important role in the development of transport corridors in the region.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
