As part of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a number of crucial documents have been signed, marking a new stage in bilateral relations.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, during the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum in Baku, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Chairman of Modon Company Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi signed a Cooperation Agreement on the development of the "City within a City" concept. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov and UAE Minister of Investment Mohammed Hassan Alsuwaidi.

Speaking at the event, Mikayil Jabbarov, Chairman of the State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA) Zaur Mikailov, and CEO of ACWA Power Marco Arcelli emphasized the importance of this cooperation for both countries.

Of particular significance is the signed Public-Private Partnership Agreement for the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of the Caspian Sea water desalination plant. The document was signed by Zaur Mikailov and Marco Arcelli.

In addition, an agreement was concluded on the acquisition of purified water. This document was signed by ADSEA Chairman Zaur Mikailov, Chairman of the Board of the public legal entity "United Water Supply Service for Major Cities" Tahir Khalilov, and ACWA Power head Marco Arcelli.

Another important document was a land lease agreement, which was signed by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Chairman of the Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency Seymour Adygezalov, and ACWA Power CEO Marco Arcelli.

Finally, Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev and Marco Arcelli signed a state guarantee agreement.

The signing of these documents indicates that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE has reached a qualitatively new level.
