Armen Grigoryan: Now we are discussing not the conflict, but how to strengthen peace
The summit held in August 2025 in Washington and concluded with the signing of an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is a tremendous success, bringing peace to the region and radically changing the entire atmosphere in relations between the countries.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Al Jazeera, this was stated by the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan during the panel discussion "Sustainable Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan: The Washington Agreement and Common Future," held as part of the Doha Forum.
"Now we are discussing not the conflict, but how to strengthen peace," emphasized Armen Grigoryan.
According to Grigoryan, the ratification of the peace treaty and economic unblocking of the region are key components of institutionalizing the agreement, which has already been recognized as a historic achievement for both countries.
He specifically noted that increasing economic ties in conditions of mutual dependence is a priority for his country.
