António Costa congratulated Ilham Aliyev: The peace you have achieved is an important moment for Europe
European leaders congratulated President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the initialing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on August 8.
This is reported in the Haber Global story dedicated to the participation of the head of the Azerbaijani state in the European Political Community summit in Copenhagen.
It is noted that during the summit, Ilham Aliyev held meetings with the President of the European Council António Costa and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

"I want to congratulate the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. The peace you have achieved is an important moment for all of Europe," he emphasized.
