In Azerbaijan, 425 people have fallen victim to mines and explosive devices since the end of the Karabakh conflict.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the chairman of the board of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov at a session within the framework of WUF13 in Baku.

He noted that even after the cessation of active hostilities, the danger to the civilian population persists.

"It is impossible to begin restoration and reconstruction without demining," Suleymanov said.
