Ambassador: Slovakia to Hold Negotiations with Azerbaijan on Gas Purchases in September
Slovakia intends to hold negotiations with Azerbaijan on gas procurement issues in September.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was communicated to Report by Slovakia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Elchin Gasymov.
According to him, natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan are one of the key areas on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Baku and Bratislava.
"Our main priority on the agenda is, of course, gas cooperation with Azerbaijan. In this regard, our deputy minister will come to the investment forum (to be held in Baku on September 25-26 - ed.), and representatives of our gas company [SPP] will hold meetings with the Azerbaijani side," the diplomat stated.
It was previously reported that Slovakia intends to purchase approximately 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas per year from Azerbaijan after 2027.
