Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva visited Məlhəm Hospital

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva visited Məlhəm Hospital.

As reported by AZERTAJ, the visit began with a tour of the fully automated laboratory department that meets modern standards. Then Leyla Aliyeva got acquainted with the work of the Emergency Medical Care department. She inquired about the quality and efficiency of services provided here and met with doctors.

During the visit, Leyla Aliyeva also visited the Radiology Department. She was provided with detailed information about the latest mammography machine with tomosynthesis installed in the department. It was noted that according to international studies, by 2031, one in eight women may be at risk of breast cancer. For this reason, Məlhəm Hospital has brought advanced medical equipment to the country and pays special attention to early detection of diseases.

Then Leyla Aliyeva got acquainted with the examinations conducted on children in the ultrasonography room. Taking particular interest in the examinations of children with Down syndrome and autism spectrum disorders, she was informed about the work being carried out in this field in our country. It was reported that in recent years, thanks to high-tech equipment and professional specialists in Azerbaijan, screening examinations are conducted in a timely manner, resulting in a significant reduction in the number of severe and spectral diagnoses at birth.
