Alen Simonyan: "We must further expand trade with Azerbaijan"
The meeting went well. You may be surprised, but there are no disagreements. There is mutual understanding, there are friendly relations, there is joint cooperation, there are plans for future partnership. During the negotiations, we did not encounter a single obstacle, and I hope there will be none in the future either.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the Chairman of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan in an interview with Real TV after a meeting with the Speaker of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova.
In response to the question "How is the export of Azerbaijani products to Armenia and the issue of transit through Azerbaijan to Armenia assessed in Yerevan?" he said the following: "It is assessed very positively. I have been talking about this for a long time. We need to expand trade even more. I know that our businesspeople, our governments, and the relevant structures are working in this direction, and that is very good. We must continue and deepen our work in this direction."
When asked "How do you assess the mutual visits of civil society representatives to both countries?" Simonyan responded as follows: "Wonderful. Don't you see how these meetings go and what feedback comes after them? Look, we have known each other very well for a long time. Fortunately, that dark page between our peoples is already in the past. Now we, as politicians and people who lead processes, must develop this even further and not miss this wonderful opportunity."
