A proposal has been made to create a General Turkic Patent Organization of the OTG
The Working Group of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation proposes to create a Common Turkic Patent Organization.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at the working group meeting within the framework of the II meeting of OTS Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, organized by the Ministry of Economy in Baku.
According to him, considering that intellectual property is the foundation for the development of innovation, science and industry, strengthening mutual cooperation in this area has strategic and practical significance:
"At the same time, the initiative to create a metrological organization of Turkic states, put forward during the X OTS Summit in Astana in November 2023, is of great importance from the perspective of science and technology development. The establishment of this structure is an important step towards deepening common economic integration and strengthening research and innovation potential."
The Minister noted that in recent years, multilateral relations within the OTS have been developing on an upward trajectory:
"This also shows that mutual trust and cooperation between our countries are strengthening."
