3 state bodies in Azerbaijan are vested with powers in the sphere of e-cigarette circulation

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has made amendments to the "List of officials authorized to draw up protocols on administrative offense cases considered by district (city) courts and military courts," approved by the decree of May 3, 2017.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the head of state signed the corresponding decree.

According to the document, the authority to draw up protocols on administrative offenses related to electronic cigarettes and their components has been granted to three government agencies.

In particular, the State Customs Committee is authorized to draw up protocols on cases of import and export of electronic cigarettes and their components, the State Agency for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision - on cases of production, wholesale and retail sale, as well as storage of electronic cigarettes and their components for the purpose of sale.

In turn, the State Tax Service has received the corresponding authority in cases where such violations are identified during tax audits.
