Shahin Babayev: AzInTelecom, Aztelekom, and Azərpoçt will be merged into a unified ecosystem
In Azerbaijan, work continues in the telecommunications sector to form a unified ecosystem between AzInTelecom LLC, Aztelekom LLC, and Azərpoçt LLC.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in an interview with Report by the Executive Director of AZCON Holding, Shahin Babayev.
According to him, within the holding, alongside the telecommunications and transport divisions, work is being carried out on the synergistic implementation of internal processes.
"Attracting specialized experts is a rather complex process, and for this reason, synergy is applied in several areas. Centers of competence have already been established within the holding. This covers, in particular, the fields of artificial intelligence, information technologies, and digitalization. In addition, synergy also exists in the coordination of procurement processes and relations with international partners. AZCON, as a unified holding, acts as a larger and more strategic partner. This, in turn, creates the foundation for both cost optimization and expanding access to more advanced technological solutions," Babayev said.
He noted that cloud technologies, AI infrastructure, and sustainable communication networks have already become fundamental pillars of the digital state and economy.
"First and foremost, attention should be drawn to the projects implemented in the area of cloud services. In order to utilize cloud services, 287 organizations have been integrated into the existing AzInTelecom data center to date. Of these organizations, 147 belong to government structures and 140 to the private sector. Along with this, in the direction of increasing existing capacities, construction of a two-module data center covering the primary and backup data centers is continuing within the framework of the 'Government Cloud' project. This approach will significantly strengthen both the continuity of services provided and cybersecurity protection. Another important area is the field of artificial intelligence, which drives the intensive development of data technologies. The Supercomputer Center, established for the first time in the country by AzInTelecom, contributes precisely to the advancement of this field," Babayev said.
