Mikail Jabbarov: ABB will finalize the deal to purchase 51% of Davr Bank shares today

OJSC "International Bank of Azerbaijan" (ABB) will today sign an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Uzbekistan's Davr Bank.

As Report informs, this was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov during the IV Interregional Forum of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan being held in Tashkent.

"Today, a signing ceremony will take place with the participation of ABB, which will mark the entry into the Uzbekistan market through a partnership and the acquisition of a stake in Davr Bank," the minister emphasized.

It should be recalled that in May of this year, ABB's Chairman of the Board Abbas Ibrahimov announced the bank's plans to complete the deal to purchase 51% of shares in Uzbekistan's Davr Bank in the second half of 2026 and to begin operations in the Uzbek market.

As A. Ibrahimov specified, ABB's investment volume within the framework of the bank acquisition in Uzbekistan will exceed 100 million US dollars.

Davr Bank has been operating in the territory of Uzbekistan since September 2001.
