In the next year, a one-time payment is forecasted for 66,000 newborn infants

Next year, the total size of benefits provided at childbirth is projected to be 39.97 million manats.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, this is stated in the conclusion of the Accounting Chamber on the draft law "On the budget of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population for 2026".

Note that in 2024, expenditures in this area amounted to 31.89 million manats. By the end of the current year, this figure is projected at 35.95 million manats. In the SSPF budget for 2025, these figures are provided in the amount of 35 million manats.

If in 2024 the benefit was received by 64,394 people, by the end of 2025 this figure is expected to increase to 65,495, and by 2026 - to 66,615.

According to calculations, for each child born in 2024, an average of 495 manats will be paid, in 2025 - 550, and in 2026 - 600 manats.

Note that from July 1 of the current year, the amount of the one-time childbirth benefit has been increased from 500 to 600 manats.

At the same time, there are certain changes in the number of people receiving childbirth benefits. Compared to 2023, the number of people who received these benefits in 2024 decreased by 1,934 people, or 2.9%. In the first half of the current year, the number of insured persons who received childbirth benefits decreased by 2,398 people, or 7.9% compared to the same period last year.
