Uktam Usmanov: Cultural ties allow presenting Uzbekistan's achievements to the audience in Azerbaijan
Cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan create opportunities for broader mutual representation of the achievements and reforms of the two countries.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated to Report by the press secretary of the Center for Islamic Civilization, Uktam Usmanov, following the premiere of the documentary film "Civilization of Mawarannahr," which took place in Tashkent as part of the International Media Forum "Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective - New Discoveries."
According to him, cooperation between media representatives of the two countries is of great importance for developing mutual understanding and strengthening humanitarian ties.
"Thanks to the cultural ties between the two peoples, we can present Uzbekistan's achievements and reforms to the Azerbaijani audience, as well as inform the Uzbekistani audience about the development and reforms in Azerbaijan," he said.
The documentary film "Civilization of Mawarannahr" is dedicated to the rich historical and cultural heritage of the region, which for centuries was one of the largest centers of science, education, and Islamic civilization.
The film tells the story of the development of scientific thought in Mawarannahr and the contribution of the region's outstanding scholars to world science. In particular, attention is given to the legacy of Imam al-Bukhari, Imam at-Tirmidhi, Abu Rayhan Biruni, Ibn Sina, Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, and other outstanding thinkers.
Special attention in the film is devoted to the preservation of Uzbekistan's historical heritage, ancient manuscripts, archaeological discoveries, and modern projects aimed at returning cultural valuables to their homeland.
The premiere of the film took place as part of the International Media Forum "Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective - New Discoveries," which is attended by journalists, scholars, media representatives, and cultural figures from various countries.
