Elephant attacked crowd during festival in India
In India, an elephant attacked a crowd during a street procession as part of a festival, reports Daily Mail.
During the celebration of the annual Rath Yatra festival in the Indian city of Ahmedabad, one of the elephants participating in the procession suddenly charged into the crowd. Several people were knocked down and trampled under the animal's feet. The footage shows people fleeing in panic while others rush to help the victims.
Staff from the local zoo reported that, in accordance with established protocol, the elephant was immediately given a sedative injection. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, and the organizers quickly restored order. However, it is known that this elephant's participation in mass events is no longer planned in the future.
