A powerful flare has been recorded on the Sun

Powerful flash, directed towards Earth, occurs on the Sun.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, this was announced by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"A strong explosion is occurring on the Sun along the Sun-Earth line. Telescopes are observing a plasma ejection along the Sun-Earth line, partially shifted to the north," the laboratory noted.

According to specialists, the final rating of the flash reached the X1.79 level - one of the highest.

Earlier, the institute reported that such flares can be accompanied by plasma ejections and cause geomagnetic disturbances on Earth.
