The People's Artist of Azerbaijan has passed away

People's Artist of Azerbaijan Rafiz Ismailov has passed away at the age of 86.

As Teleqraf reports, this information was shared by Rashad Gasymov, the head of the film archive department of the Azerbaijan State Film Fund.

R.Ismailov was born on March 30, 1939, in Baku. After graduating from the Azerbaijan State Art School in 1962, he received education at the art faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow.

Since 1972, he began working at the "Azerbaijanfilm" studio, where he was the production designer for dozens of feature films, theatrical productions, and several animated films. He was awarded the honorary title of "People's Artist" in 2000.
