The educational stage of the "Young Beekeeper" project, implemented on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, has been completed

The next stage of the "Young Beekeeper" project, implemented since 2021 on the initiative of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, successfully continues in the Khyzy district.
As reported by BAKU.WS, at the initial stage of the project this year, more than 100 young families from the Khyzy district applied. When evaluating, the main selection criteria were the participants' knowledge and experience in beekeeping, their social status, as well as the availability of a household plot for placing the appropriate farm. Based on these criteria, 20 selected participants were involved in a special training program. During the training phase, participants were given both theoretical knowledge and practical beekeeping skills.
At the next stage of the project, participants will be provided with bee colonies, hives, necessary clothing, honey extractors, and other equipment for creating a beekeeping farm. At this stage, necessary conditions will be created for their effective production activities, and the distribution of bee colonies will be carried out.
It should be noted that since 2021, within the framework of the "Young Beekeeper" project implemented on the initiative of the IDEA Public Association in partnership with the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Employment Agency, and the public legal entity ABAD, more than 60 young families from different regions of the country have been supported in creating beekeeping farms.
The aim of the project is to expand the range of bees throughout the country, which are among the main guardians of biodiversity, to promote beekeeping in the regions as a form of eco-entrepreneurship, to support environmentally friendly agricultural activities, and to increase the production of high-quality natural honey. At the same time, the project aims to improve the social well-being of young families and ensure their sustainable employment.
