The deputy is concerned: housing in the city center costs enormous amounts of money

Prices per square meter in new buildings being constructed in the central part of the city have reached fantastic levels.
As Qafqazinfo reports, this was stated by deputy Ali Masimli at a meeting of the Milli Majlis committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship during the discussion of the Accounting Chamber's report for 2024.
He emphasized the importance of the upcoming program for the demolition of dilapidated housing and construction of new homes, reminding that state funds will be allocated for these purposes. Masimli called for special attention to be paid to monitoring their targeted use and preventing budget overruns.
According to him, current housing prices absolutely do not correspond to the financial capabilities of most citizens.
"There are known cases when funds received from entrepreneurs are subsequently included in the cost per square meter. This seriously impedes access to housing and remains one of the acute problems in the country," the deputy noted.
